Who this policy covers

This policy covers the website at ezship.dev and the hosted ezship service, including the Studio, apps, command-line connections and ezship's ChatGPT plugin. In this policy, “ezship”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of that service. Contact us at dan@ezship.dev.

If you use an app provided by your organization, that organization decides what records it collects and who can access them. Contact its administrator about those records. If your organization hosts its own ezship service, its operator's privacy practices also apply.

Information we collect

  • Account and access information: your email address, team or organization name, account identifiers, roles, invitations and sign-in information. We process verification codes and connection credentials through dedicated sign-in flows, not through ChatGPT tool arguments.
  • Your apps and records: app code, unpublished edits, shared components, database definitions, business records, uploaded files, attachments and their change history.
  • Studio conversations: messages, agent responses and the code or records an agent reads while working. Saved transcripts can include this content.
  • Service activity: pages and apps opened in the Studio, changes and publishing activity, timestamps, account identifiers, errors, build usage, model usage and credit consumption. Network and security information can include IP addresses, browser information and short-lived counters used to prevent signup abuse.
  • Support correspondence: emails and any information or attachments you choose to send us.

How we use information

We use this information to verify sign-in, create and operate your organization, manage access, store and serve apps and records, carry out changes you authorize, provide AI assistance, track usage and credit, answer support requests, diagnose problems and protect the service from abuse.

New-organization signup also sends the service operator a notification with the verified contact, organization name and addresses. We do not sell personal information or use your app content for targeted advertising.

Who can receive information

  • Your organization: administrators and authorized team members can access information according to their roles and your app's access rules.
  • The service operator: authorized people operating ezship can access accounts, records and saved Studio transcripts for service operations and support.
  • Service providers: hosting and storage providers, including Cloudflare and DigitalOcean, and email delivery providers process information needed to run and secure the service and deliver sign-in and service emails.
  • AI services you use: Studio requests send relevant conversation content, code and tool results to OpenRouter and the selected model provider. When you use the ChatGPT plugin, OpenAI processes your ChatGPT conversation and receives the ezship tool results returned to it. The plugin receives the tool inputs you or the model submit; it does not retrieve your entire ChatGPT conversation history.
  • Legal and security recipients: information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address fraud, abuse or threats to people or the service.

Providers have their own privacy practices. Information may be processed in the countries where we or our providers operate. Contact us before using the service if you need a specific data location or a separate data-processing agreement.

Cookies, browser storage and fonts

Sign-in cookies and browser storage keep you signed in, remember your connections and retain working state. Clearing them can sign you out or remove work stored only in your browser; it does not delete records already saved on the service.

The marketing website does not run advertising trackers or its own analytics scripts. It loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives the network information sent by your browser when requesting those fonts. Our hosting providers also process requests and network information to deliver and protect the website.

How long information is kept

Signup codes expire after 10 minutes and signup email links after 7 days. The ChatGPT integration's pending connection flow lasts 20 minutes, publishing reviews last 10 minutes, access tokens last 1 hour, and refresh tokens and its browser sign-in last up to 30 days. Short-lived signup rate counters expire after 10 minutes. These are access-expiry periods; expired records are removed during subsequent cleanup, rather than necessarily at the instant they expire.

Account and organization records, app content and history, uploaded files, saved Working Copies, Studio transcripts, service activity and support correspondence currently have no fixed automatic deletion schedule and may be retained indefinitely. They support ongoing service, recovery, history, security and legal needs. Archiving an app, reaching a trial's end, disconnecting ChatGPT or starting a new Studio chat does not erase these records.

Ask us about removal at dan@ezship.dev. We will explain what can be removed, any records that must be retained and any limits affecting history or backup copies. Service providers apply their own retention practices to information processed independently by them.

Your choices and requests

You can manage your team's access, revoke account tokens and disconnect the ezship plugin in ChatGPT. Disconnecting stops that connection's access; it does not delete your apps or saved work.

Email dan@ezship.dev to request access, correction, export or deletion of personal information, or to ask about a privacy right available where you live. We may verify your identity and authority for the organization before acting. For records entered in an organization's app, contact that organization's administrator as well. Any rights provided by applicable law continue to apply.

Security and appropriate data

We use sign-in and access controls to protect private apps. The ChatGPT integration stores its connection credentials encrypted and keeps them out of tool results. Do not put passwords, sign-in codes, access tokens or other secrets in an AI conversation or support email.

The service is not intended for children under 13. Do not use the ChatGPT integration for payment card data, protected health information or government identification numbers. Contact us before using ezship for other regulated or sensitive records that require special safeguards.

Updates and contact

We update this page and its date when our privacy practices change. Questions about this policy or how ezship handles your information can be sent to dan@ezship.dev. You can also visit our support page.
